Festus Keyamo shortlisted to become Senior Advocate again

The Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee has announced the names of 50 legal practitioners who it is considering for admission into the privileged rank of the Senior Advocate of Nigeria for 2016.
Popular human rights lawyer, Festus Keyamo made the list again, after he lost out in the 2015 edition. His name was among the shortlisted candidates lasts year, but he was not announced as a SAN.
Below are the names of 49 other senior lawyers being considered for the SAN rank:
Fred Agbaje, John Odubela, Chief Olubowale Taiwo, Richard Akintunde, Chiesonu Okpoko, Chief Ikenna Egbuna, Adeyemi Ajibade, Sylvester Elema, Prof. Wahab Egbewole, Andrew Igboekwe, AbdulHakeem Mustapha, Olaseni Adio, Chief Kalu Umeh, Adewale Adesokan, Gboyega Oyewole, Edward Pwajok, Wole Agunbiade, Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika, Olaniyi Maruph, Olatunbosun Olanipekun, Oyetola Oshobi, Ekemejero Ohwovoriole, Emeka Okpoko, Oyesoji Oyeleke, Akeem Agbaje, Olusola Ojutalayo, Chibuike Nwokeukwu, John Majiyagbe, Elisha Kurah, Nnamonso Ekanem, Adekola Olawoye, James Ikeyi, Dr. Valerie-Janette Azinge, Chief Olusegun Akinbiyi and Wilcox Abereton.
                                                     
     Also shortlisted are Mba Ukweni, Adewunmi Ogunsanya, Michael Lana, Olasheni Ibiwole, Daniel Enwelum, Metalubi Adebayo, Olusegun Fowowe, Chief Olusola Oke, Chief Abdul Ajana, Bert Igwilo, Olayode Delano, Edmond Obiagwu and Kehinde Ogunwumiju.
The Secretary of the LPPC, Ahmed Saleh, who is also the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, announced in an advertorial on Tuesday that the 50 shortlisted lawyers have scaled through the first and second filtration processes towards the award of the SAN rank.
He said any member of the public who has any complaint about any of the shortlisted lawyers must file same before the LPPC not later than June 2, 2016, otherwise they are good to go.
