Photo: Police allegedly kill motorcyclist in Ogun state

28 year old father of two named Hameed, a motorcyclist aka Okada rider was allegedly killed by a mobile policeman in Ilaro in Ogun state yesterday June 1st. According to PM News, the Okada rider was killed at a checkpoint in the community. ‎ Narrating the incident, a colleague of the deceased, identified the culprit as one Muffy attached to the new DPO of Ilaro Police division.

                                                   
“Hameed was killed last night by Muffy, a policeman attached to the new DPO at Ilaro Division.‎ He was returning home when he was stopped at the checkpoint by policemen who accused him of riding a stolen motorcycle. An argument ensued between them and before anyone could intervene, Hameed was shot dead". The other Okada riders in the community this afternoon staged a protest, demanding justice for the deceased. The protesting Okada riders burnt used tyres and other items on major streets of Ilaro calling for the arrest of the policeman who killed their colleague.
